Respiratory failure continues to be one of the leading causes of death in the United States. According to the World Health Report 2002, respiratory failure is the third leading cause of death in the world. Due to this growing epidemic, there is a need to educate healthcare providers to help them succeed in bettering the lives of their patients. This activity will give participants the information they need about the development of the Artificial Lung and how it is used.
