Biosketch
Dr. Sorrentino is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Section of Cardiology at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. Dr. Sorrentino's clinical interests include hypertension, coronary artery disease, and hyperlipidemia, the presence of abnormally high amounts of lipids (fat) in the blood.
A popular speaker, Dr. Sorrentino has been invited to lecture at more than 350 scientific and consumer meetings and events. He has written numerous publications on a wide variety of topics, including the role of specific foods in the prevention of heart disease and racial disparities in heart disease.
