Biosketch
Dr. Blumenthal is Associate Professor of Medicine, and Director of the Johns Hopkins Ciccarone Preventive Cardiology Center. He has published many works on cardiac prevention, and has particular interest in the contribution of family history, and in the use of calcium scoring for augmenting the predictive value of screening. He is Chairman of the A.C.C. Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease Committee. He was a co-author of the 2006 A.H.A. guidelines on cardiac CT and CTA.
