Biosketch
Sara J. Corwin, MPH, PhD is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Health Promotion, Education and Behavior in the Arnold School of Public Health at the University of South Carolina (ASPH USC). Dr. Corwin has experience in developing competency-based curriculum assessment tools, collecting and analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data, and evaluating health education and promtion programs. She is currently responsible for co-evaluating a foundation after-school program in three at-risk middle schools in metro Columbia. She also serves as a faculty consultant providing technical assistance to a local non-profit organiztion providing risk reduction services to area youth. As a Clinical Assistant Professor she teaches core courses in health promotion & education planning, implementation and evaluation at the graduate level. Dr Corwin has authored or co-authored 28 peer-reviewed articles and been involved in 12 research projects.
